In-office oral sedation is available at our office for patients with dental phobias or moderate anxiety, those requiring major dental treatments, or those with strong gag reflexes or low pain tolerance. In-office oral sedation is generally used to make patients feel more comfortable during dental procedures.
Nitrous oxide or laughing gas is commonly used as a sedative to help patients relax during their treatment. Nitrous oxide is a type of conscious sedation that has a calming effect and rarely has side effects. We will discuss the options available to you prior to performing any kind of sedation, and parents are always welcome in the treatment room.
